Read this before you start.
Deleting your Zcribbler account is immediate and permanent. There is no waiting period, no recovery window, and no way for us to bring the account back — not by email, not by asking support, not by signing in again.
Signing in later with the same Google or Apple account creates a brand-new, empty account. It does not restore anything.
1. Delete From Inside the App
This is the fastest way and the one we recommend. It takes effect the moment you confirm.
- Open Zcribbler and sign in.
- Go to your Profile tab.
- Tap Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Re-authenticate with Google or Apple when prompted. This is what stops anyone else from deleting your account.
- Confirm. Deletion happens immediately.
You are signed out on every device straight away, and the timelines in Section 3 begin at that moment.
2. If You Cannot Use the App
If you have lost access to the device you signed in with, you can ask us to close the account for you.
Deletion request by email
Write from the email address linked to your Zcribbler account to:
Include:
- Your Zcribbler username, if you remember it
- The email address you signed in with
- The subject line Account Deletion Request
We verify that the request comes from the address on the account before acting on it. We process the deletion within 30 days and email you when it is done.
We will never ask you for a password, a payment, or a copy of an identity document to delete an account.
3. What Happens to Your Data
The table below is complete. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy, Section 11.

When a retention period ends, the data is deleted permanently. We do not keep personal data longer than the purpose it was collected for requires.
4. There Is No Recovery
Deletion cannot be reversed. We do not hold a copy that could be restored, and support cannot undo it.
You are welcome to create a new account with the same email address whenever you like. It will be empty: none of your previous content, followers, circles, or conversations will be there, and your old username may already belong to someone else.
If you want to keep anything, save it to your device before you delete the account. If you would like a copy of your data first, write to [email protected] and ask for an export before deleting — we cannot produce one afterwards.
5. Alternatives to Deleting
If the reason you are here is something narrower, one of these may solve it without losing your account:
- Someone is bothering you. Block them, or report them, from their profile or from any of their content. Blocking works in both directions and they are not told.
- You want fewer people seeing you. Settings → Privacy & account → Who can follow you lets you require approval for every new follower.
- You are getting unwanted messages. Settings → Privacy & account → Who can message you can be set to people you follow only.
- Too many notifications. Turn them off for Zcribbler in your device's system settings.
- You do not want usage analytics collected. Closing your account is not the way to stop it, and is not needed: analytics carry no account identifier, so nothing in them is about you by name. Removing the app from your device stops collection from that installation immediately and discards its identifier, while your account and everything in it stay as they are.
- You want to remove one thing, not everything. You can stop distributing any single piece of content, or delete it outright, from the content itself.
6. Your Google and Apple Accounts
Deleting your Zcribbler account has no effect on your Google or Apple account. It removes only the link between them and Zcribbler.
If you signed in with Apple, we revoke Zcribbler's Apple authorisation for you as part of the deletion. You do not need to do anything.
If you would like to check or remove the connection yourself:
- Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions → Zcribbler → Remove access
- Apple: Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Zcribbler → Stop using Apple ID
